their fitness level.
-
To provide information on health, injury prevention, nutrition, proper workout
apparel, etc. through emails, program handouts and special coaches clinics.
-
To cultivate a love for the sport of running and the camaraderie it generates,
and make it a habit for life.
Benefits of Running
-
A regular exercise
program not only improves your health but assures quality of life for the
future. Running is one of the simplest forms of exercise, requiring very
little except commitment.
-
Running is the greatest for muscle toning and weight control, burning more
calories in less time than any other exercise. A more muscular body
naturally burns more calories at work and at rest! Regardless of your
speed, the average 150 lb. woman can burn as much as 100 calories per mile!
-
Combined with a weight training program, running
offers women weight bearing exercise for a strong skeletal structure.
-
Running reduces the incidence of heart disease, high blood pressure and
diabetes, as well as depression.
